Field Trips

Older students have opportunities to participate in various AFTH field trips throughout the year. Through our special Outreach Partnerships with the University of Texas Performing Arts Center and Texas State University’s Fine & Performing Art Department, we provide complimentary tickets and transportation for older students to attend major Cultural Art performances that they otherwise might not have financial means to attend. Past performance events we have attended include Martha Graham Ballet, Ornette Coleman Jazz Concert, The Neville Brothers, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Peter, Paul, & Mary Concert, Thoroughly Modern Mille musical, US Poet Laureate Billy Collins, and others. AFTH students also benefit from our relationships with community partners such as the Wimberley Players and the Wimberley Valley Art League.
